Mitchell's Auto Supplies Ltd.

The Company currently employs seventy (70) persons. The Directors, Lyttleton and Madge Shirley, maintain direct involvement in the day to day operations of the company through their capable and experienced Management Team. Mr. Shirley is extensively involved in the development of the Sales Department and the procurement of products, taking a special interest in ensuring that the items stocked meet customers’ demands. Additionally, staff members are trained in their respective area of work, either in-house or through company sponsored training courses externally.

This focus on training results in customers being served by a knowledgeable sales force who are equipped with several years of experience within the industry. Employment opportunities arise from time to time and interested persons are invited to submit their applications through the mail or online.

It is the vision of our Directors to see Mitchell’s as being the most complete automotive retailer in Jamaica and the ultimate one-stop auto care center.


Lyttleton O. Shirley { Chief Executive Officer }

Lyttleton Ovel Shirley demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit which, to date, has resulted in his shareholding involvement several companies, with his involvement in the Auto Parts industry starting with the acquisition of Hagley’s Auto Supplies (Successors) Limited in 1977. Since then, he has established a proven track record throughout all his subsequent company acquisitions with a strong focus on professional, quality customer service. His dynamic drive and visionary approach to business have led to the establishment of Mitchell’s Auto Supplies as a leader in the Automotive industry.

Lyttleton Shirley has been involved in all aspects of operations, from planning and development to marketing and purchasing. He presently concentrates on the marketing and purchasing aspects of each entity. He capitalizes on every opportunity that comes his way, with the clear goal being to expand the market share of Mitchell’s and ensure a sound foundation for Mitchell’s, with a “hands-on” management approach being taken to ensure the ultimate success of this enterprise in the market place. His high corporate standards, unbridled passion for excellence, coupled with his strong motivational style and flair for originality, have contributed to the other companies in the group maintaining top positions in the Jamaica market, despite fierce competition.

Mr. Shirley encourages his staff to expand their perspective by thinking along broader lines while reinforcing the commonality of their objectives.


Madge St. Rose Shirley {Financial/Administrative Director}

Madge Shirley’s professional experience spans twenty eight (28) years of involvement in both the Auto Parts and the Chemical Industries, having worked in almost every area of all the companies within the group. Her special focus has been in the areas of Administration and Finance.

A past student of St. Andrew High School for Girls and St. Hugh’s High School, Mrs. Shirley holds a Diploma in Accounting from Duff’s Business College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies. Although her major involvement in all the companies has been mainly in the areas of finance and administration, she has not limited herself to only these areas and can be seen participating in decisions concerning all other areas of the companies’ operations.

Her exposure to every aspect of each company’s operations since inception to date has proven invaluable in providing a wealth of experience for her. The coalescence of this experience has placed her in the advantageous position to initiate and assist with the implementation of appropriate financial strategies for all the companies within the group to meet the challenges of our changing economy.

Staff members at all levels appreciate her approachability and steady guidance in day to day operations. She encourages strong communication links with all her staff through an open door policy. A disciplined, talented and inspiring entrepreneur, she has placed an indelible stamp of her personality and standard of excellence on all the companies.

Jacquline Wedderburn {Director}

Mrs. Jacquline Wedderburn joined Hagley’s Auto Supplies (Successors) Limited in 1985 and over the years, Mrs. Wedderburn exhibited a strong sense of dedication and loyalty to the company. She has represented the company at many overseas trade shows and has taken the time to learn about the auto parts industry at all levels. A graduate of Clarendon College, Mrs. Wedderburn went on to earn a Diploma in Accounts from Durham College.

She has also attained AAT certification and completed Administrative Management and Payroll Management and Control Courses at Jamaica Institute of Management.


Judith Fleetwood { Director/General Manager}

Judith Fleetwood joined the Administrative Department of Hagley’s Auto Supplies (Successors) Limited in 1985.Miss Fleetwood is a past student of St. Hugh’s High School, with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of the West Indies and a Diploma in Business Administration. She has also participated in several training courses, earning certificates in computer concepts and applications.

Her wealth of experience coupled with her qualifications and personal commitment will undoubtedly contribute significantly to the success of Mitchell’s Auto Supplies Limited.
